Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles to tour together?

Sources close to Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles say that the two groups are planning a tour in 2010, according to livedaily.com.

If true, this would be the first time in more than 30 years that the groups have performed together. The last time was July 25, 1976, at Schaefer Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. Fleetwood Mac was touring in support of their self-titled album—the first to feature Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, while the Eagles were the headliners.

Livedaily.com also reported that the groups would be playing in baseball and football stadiums and arenas. While there has been no confirmation or denial about the tour from either group, the Eagles already have several stops in April and May scheduled.

Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles rumored to be touring

If Stevie Nicks’ performance with Taylor Swift at the Grammy’s on Sunday got you thinking about Fleetwood Mac, have no fear – word has it they’re touring with the Eagles this summer.

The classic rockers have plans to visit a number of stadiums across the U.S., which is a tall order for bands these days – U2, Madonna and the Police are the only bands who have braved the notion of filling out a 70,000-seat venue.

The two bands have beth been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they will certainly be a huge hit on the summer tour circuit.
